Installation

After turning off the product, residual light phenomenon occurs.

Residual light phenomenon is caused by a micro current flowing through the lighting fixture after it is turned off. 

Please follow the steps below to address this issue:

 

1) Check if the switch wire is correctly connected to the "L" phase.

    : If the switch wire is connected to the "N" phase, switch the output wire of the lighting breaker to the "L" phase.

2) Check for ground leakage in the installation frame (which may cause residual light and malfunctions).

    : Ensure proper grounding of the frame where the lighting is installed.

    : Install an insulator (such as a wooden board with a thickness greater than the length of the fixing screws) between

      the frame and the lighting fixture.

    : Replace worn-out insulation mats to eliminate the cause of ground leakage.

3) Verify the use of mechanical contacts (such as contact relays, magnetic switches, etc.)

    : If electronic (semiconductor-based) timers or switches are used, residual light may occur even after turning off. 

      In such cases, replace them with mechanical contacts.

Installation

When there are multiple wires in the output section of the converter, how should they be connected?

For convenience of installation, the output wires are divided. 

If using only one circuit, please connect each wire separately. 

After use, securely insulate any remaining wires with insulation tape.

Parallel Installation Method for LED Modules

The parallel installation method for each module product is illustrated in the specifiction sheet of the respective product, which can be downloaded from the 'detail page' of each product.

 

Please adhere to the recommended maximum number of connections per converter capacity during installation.

How should the capacity for timer installation (SLT-21S, SLT-30S) be configured?

Please select a product with a capacity that has more than 20% margin compared to the rated load capacity for each product. 

If the rated capacity is exceeded, please use an electronic contactor suitable for the capacity separately.

 

[SLT-21S]

  : Maximum rated load capacity: 21A (2.5kW)

  : Fluorescent lamps (based on 40W): 40 units

  : 3 LED module units (based on 0.72W): 1,800 units

 

[SLT-30S]

  : Maximum rated load capacity: 30A (3kW)

  : Fluorescent lamps (based on 40W): 60 units

  : 3 LED module units (based on 0.72W): 2,600 units

 

*Electronic Contactor (MC)

 An electronic contactor is a device that operates contacts by an electromagnet, responsible for opening and closing circuits.

Is it possible to install LED modules on an external sign?

We have two main types of modules, and they should be used according to their intended purpose.

 

Channel-type products are suitable for installation inside channel signs,

while exterior (border-specific) products do not pose any issues when installed externally.

 

If a channel-type product not intended for outdoor use is installed outdoors, it may cause problems."

Caution

The lighting is experiencing a decrease in brightness or flickering.

If lighting products are installed alongside heavy machinery or electrical appliances (such as commercial refrigerators, motors, compressors, etc.), it can affect the input voltage of the lighting, leading to the occurrence of such issues.

 

When installing lighting, it is essential to separate the wiring for the lighting from the power input to avoid this problem.

Caution

How should the capacity of the converter be set when installing the product?

When installing the product, after confirming the power consumption, set the capacity of the converter with some margin and ensure that it operates within 70% of tis total capacity.


For example, if you are installing 0.72W modules using a 100W converter, it is recommended to connect up to a maximum of 100 modules to ensure they operate within the range of 70W.

Caution

Precautions for handling LED module products

Neon and LED module products are shipped in a packaged state (with the products stacked). 

If the products are powered on for an extended period while still in the packaged state, heat may be generated, which could lead to product defects or even fire hazards. Please handle with care.

 

1. For products rolled on a roll, please unroll them before applying power.

2. For LED modules, please remove them from the product package (ziplock bag) before applying power.

 

To prevent heat damage, always unpack the products and arrange them without overlapping or folding before powering on. Please note that product replacement is not possible if defects occur due to user negligence.

Caution

Precautions and safe storage methods for handling LED module products

We do not take responsibility for product deterioration due to improper storage by the customer.

Please use the product within a few days of opening, and seal the remaining product in a ziplock bag and store it in the product box.

 

1. Storing LED modules exposed directly in cardboard boxes may lead to contamination by airborne impurities, 

    resulting in LED deteriorationand potential defects.

2. Do not press the LED light-emitting part during installation, as it may damage the LED module.

3. Avoid exposing LED modules to direct sunlight and moisture.

 

Please follow these guidelines to ensure the proper handling and storage of the LED modules.

① Identify the cause of the product's A/S requirement.

② Submit on A/S request (through the sales representative or customer service center).

③ Send the defective product via courier to the C/S center alang with the defect report.

④ Receive the defective product at the head office C/S center.

⑤ Analyze the cause of the defect.

⑥ Exchange or offset the defective product upon confirmation of the defect (computer input).

 

※ If the cause analysis results indicate user error or inproper installation resulting in a determination of a normal product, it will be returned. 

※ For on-site A/S or paid repair requests, consultation with the local sales representative is required.
